Big horns\, big energy\, big vibes.\n\n\nThe Makings \nThis 7-piece powerhouse blends rock\, funk\, soul\, and gospel into a stadium-sized sound that hits you right in the rhythm section. Formed in 2019\, the group comprises guitarist and lead songwriter Conor McParland\, saxophonist Vanessa Humphreys\, vocalist Carys Groves\, drummer Jackson Jeff\, bassist Vincenzo Sandonato\, pianist Athenagoras Alexiou and trumpeter/trombonist Kiefer Wilton. ​ \nTheir sound is characterized by big\, brash arrangements featuring searing horn lines\, three-part harmonies\, synth and guitar solos\, and a rhythm section that’s both tight and powerful.  \nThe Makings have made a significant impact on the Bristol music scene and beyond\, performing at venues like The Canteen and The Full Moon and Attic Bar.
