DESCRIPTION:A celebratory tribute to the Columbian Vallenato genius\, Nirk Molina\n\n\nJoin us for our musical journey of rhythms next 16th October and every third Thursday of the month at Casa del Ritmo showcasing some of the best new Latin acts London offers.  \n \nThis time join us for a special tribute night to our musician friend and compadre Nirk Molina\, He was a Colombian vallenato musician and artist from Montería\, Colombia\, known as “The UK Vallenato King” for spreading Colombian culture and vallenato music in London and the UK. He passed away in early September 2025. He was a respected artist\, musician\, father\, husband\, and son who was a key figure in the London Latin music community.  \n \nThe show will be performed by his friends\, some of the most recognized UK top latin bands & musicians based in London\, to remember his musical life and memories with wonderful songs. A special tribute to latin music and his musical contribution and legacy in the UK to remember with joy and dancing in a wonderful parranda full of Cumbia\, Vallenato alongside traditional latin American and Colombian rhythms. Join us and bring your own instruments also to jam with us. \n \nHosted by CarlitosNino DJ bringing the original sounds of alternative latin music and modern rhythms\, alongside the past and present of Latin American music with a Global twist. @latinosinlondon  \n \nCome and party with London’s Latin community and make new friends\, meet the artist who opened the door to Latin music in the uk and newcomers. DESCRIPTION:This one’s gonna be naughty\, veeeeeeeerrrrryyy Naughty\n\n\nMr C \n \nRichard West aka Mr.C started MCing in London clubs aged 16 and soon earned a reputation as a fast talking\, vivacious rapper. 1987 Richard quit his milkman job and took to the decks. He has since organized\, promoted and been resident DJ at a whole host of rave and club venues for over 3 decades now\, including Fantasy\, Drop\, Superfreq and at his legendary very own club\, The End. \n \nMr.C is best known as front man\, songwriter and producer of the pop group The Shamen with whom he notched up a string of top 10 UK hits including Move Any Mountain\, Love Sex Intelligence\, Boss Drum\, Phorever People and the UK number 1 smash hit Ebeneezer Goode. These hits were hits the world over. The Shamen album Boss Drum went double platinum in the UK and Richard also won a highly coveted Ivor Novelo for Songwriters of the year UK in 1992/93. \n \nMiss C \n \nMiss C plays a no-nonsense\, infectious style of house music that ranges from \ndeep to soulful to jacking to tech & all variations in between. Her tight mixing & \nability to read crowds gives Chloe a command of vibes when spinning that not \nmany people have. You can tell what a joker she is in her sets as they can become \nvery mischievous indeed. \n \nGrowing up living in the same house as the KLF & being around the Orb & \nAdamski was always going to have an impact on Chloe as a child\, so it was no \nsurprise when at 16 she started MCing at under 18s kids events with huge DJ \nnames like Mickey Finn\, Nicky Blackmarket\, Darren J & others calling herself \nMiss MC.
