DESCRIPTION:Free Entry! \nWorld Music Method is back with the fantastic Camilo Menjura for a night of traditional South American music\n\n\nThe story of how music became his life starts many years ago in Bogota – Colombia where he was born. He comes from a very musical family but is the first one to give music a go as a career. Camilo started playing the guitar at the age of 10\, and has been playing it for 24 years. Apart from Guitar he plays several other instruments from South America such as Tiple\, Cuatro and Charango\, and also a little bit of Quena (flute).  \n \nWhen Camilo moved to London he continued with his music studies including Acappella Jazz singing at the City Lit College\, a Music Access course at Morley College where he joined the Chamber Choir under the direction of Rober Hanson and Gospel Choir as well. To enrich his musical knowledge Camillo went to the LCCM “London Centre of Contemporary Music” where he completed a Degree in Music Performance and Production with emphasis on MDA (Music Director and Arranger) received from Middlesex University. \n \nCurrently Camillo leads the “LOLCHOIR” (LOL = Landscapes Of Latin America)\, a choir he started in 2013 specializing in folk repertoire from Spanish speaking countries. The ‘choir director hat’ has also brought him to work with the Mary Ward Centre College (“Love to sing” teacher) since 2015\, the SOAS University World Music Choir (choir leader since January 2016)\, and also leading the community choir “Stapleton Singers” in North London (since 2015). \n \nFor the last few years Camillo has been committed to performing with a variety of bands that range from Afro-Colombian & Afro-Peruvian music to Andean Jazz\, Sudanese Fusion Music and English pop/folk. In 2009 he met English composer Magnus Fiennes\, who got me to record some of his music (guitar and charango) for TV Series “The Fixer” on ITV seasons 1 and 2\, as well as music for a Scottish film “Donkeys” in 2010 and other of his projects.

South London’s secret weapon\, DJ / Producer Giles Frampton \, aka MrTidy\, has been delivering sonic goodness from the 90’s when he cut his DJ teeth putting on squat parties. He’s since been spinning tunes in bars\, pubs\, clubs\, house parties inc. residing at the ‘Atomic’ super club in the noughties\, Ninth Life\, CLF\, Soul Train\, Fox’n’Firkin. Ran the ‘United Sound of Sydenham’ party. Recently pressed his debut 7\, ’Share the Love Divine’ which settled at no 5 in the Juno disco charts.  He’s been running his ‘Boogie Back’ party in venues across SE London for the past 10 years. A multi-genre DJ with cross fader flair\, a passion for vinyl & live mash ups. He brings the plastic fantastic to the Magic Garden\, a selection of classic & nu-disco edits\, rare groove\, jalapeno boogie\, funk’n’soul and R&B.  Expect to be deep fried.
