Join us for our musical journey of rhythms next 15th October and every third Thursday of the month at Casa del Ritmo showcasing some of the best emerging new Latin acts London offers for FREE.
We welcome Resistencia Indigena, to celebrate the Day of indigenous Resistance or Indigenous people’s day with a collective of some of the top andean and folkloric musicians from Latin america (Abya Yala) to reimagine Columbus Day and changes a celebration of colonialism into an opportunity to reveal historical truths of indigenous peoples in the Americas, to organize against current injustices bringing the original musical roots of native music from latin america, some lyrics in native language, rhythms, sounds and melodies with indigenous instruments as pan pipes, quenas, toyos, tarkas, bombos, gaitas, maracas and connection with amazonic and andean folk as a cultural resistance and transform the fiesta, the carnival, and the dance into a living shield of cultural preservation and survival. Join us for the Jam and bring your own instruments to be part of this musical remembrance.
Hosted by DJ CarlitosNino (Arriba la Cumbia/Latinos in London) bringing a selection of past, present of latin music, blend and fusion with global beats. A journey through of every latin american country sounds, rhythms and melodies.
