Celebrating a late Valentines this 2026, we are back to Casa del Ritmo bringing live the sound of Salsa vintage with our Salsa classic specialist Wil Sifontes’ Latin sound bringing the Discoteca Tropical vibes of the golden age of Salsa Caliente and soul from el barrio, A Nuyorican style with roots from Cuba and Puerto Rico with a twist from The Caracas Dimension Latina street sounds, passing to Cali, Colombia to El Callao, Peru and the feeling of well known places in South America for their famous salsotecas/bailotecas, a treasure troves of old-school salsa and other Latino music.
Wil Sifontes’ Latin sound
Wil Sifontes (Conjunto Sabroso) from Caracas Venezuela, one of London’s most accomplished, outstanding, and prolific percussionists, his Latin sound project explores an infectious, rhythmic, and authentic approach to the Latin American repertoire. He is renowned for his border-hopping style whilst delivering an array of different musical Latin styles. This side project will introduce you to the classic sounds of Salsa, son, Latin jazz, tropical, cumbia, charanga, montuno and descarga from Latin America with original roots from the 70’s.
Special guest Luz Elena caicedo from Cali, Colombia singer and co-leader of well-known band Conjunto Sabroso alongside Matices Latinos and Latin American choir, also founder of Cimarron Festival a London celebration of African cultural legacy in Latin America. She is one of London’s top Salsa and Tropical singers since 1995 bringing her charismatic and powerful voice over the years creating an international profile greatly enhanced by appearances in festivals all over the UK, Ireland, China, Kenya and Greece.
