Bristol-based singer Cesca May brings soulful melodies and provocative lyrics with punchy jazz-funk-driven rhythms; together with her band she fills dance floors by the first chorus drop. She draws inspiration from classic singers like Mary Clayton, Ella Fitzgerald and Stevie Wonder, but frames it in the manner of Cameo, Shakatak and Prince. With disco dripping from every beat, Cesca May brings a modern take to the jazz-funk we knew in the 80s.
