Based in London, Soul Grenades have established themselves as one of the most exciting acts on the live scene and festival circuit. A veritable tornado of funk, the band boasts a super-tight rhythm section, a wall of brass, and an extensive songbook of original music. Fusing influences ranging from crate-digging rarities to contemporary dancefloor fillers, they deliver no-nonsense, hard-hitting funk and soul.
The band’s third album, Raw Pleasure, was released in summer 2025, with singles gaining airplay on BBC Radio 6 Music’s The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show. This follows the critical success of their 2020 sophomore album Delicious Detonation, their 2017 debut LP Pullin’ The Pin, and a celebrated debut 45 on Mukatsuku Records.
Soul Grenades have brought their explosive live show to prestigious UK venues like The Jazz Cafe, The 100 Club, and Manchester Albert Hall, as well as major festivals including Green Man and Kendal Calling. Known for their unrestrained energy, they have shared stages with global icons such as George Clinton / Parliament / Funkadelic, Sister Sledge, and Geno Washington.
