Formed over two decades ago by the visionary musician Derane Obika, also known as Mr. D L Sounds, Living Sounds is a genre-defying ensemble that weaves Afro, Funk, Gospel, Jazz, Soul, and Rock into one unforgettable sound.
At the heart of this powerhouse band is a deep connection forged through years of collaboration. Derane’s soulful vocals and rich songwriting, rooted in his Gospel upbringing, set the tone for a performance that is both heartfelt and electrifying. Guitar virtuoso Gianluca Chiarella brings vibrant melodies and fiery solos, while Francesco Mendolia drives the beat with his dynamic drumming. On bass, Kofi Emanuel locks in the groove, bringing depth and rhythm with unmatched finesse.
From prestigious stages to major festivals around the world, Living Sounds has captivated audiences with their energy, authenticity, and pure musical joy. Their critically acclaimed debut EP “Dual Origin” laid the foundation, and now, with their second album on the horizon, the band is set to push boundaries even further.

🕺DJ Richio Suzuki has spent almost 40 years spinnin’ in bars, pubs , clubs , weekenders , festivals ,private parties & events . His Dj sets of Soul, Funk, Disco Jazz, Rare Groove, House, Northern Soul, old skool Hip hop, Reggae, Ska and eclectic Balearic grooves & cool pop .
Richio has literally been there and done that, from celebrity and fashion parties to hosting
his own room at Ministry of Sound in the 90’s & at Southport weekender
His Dj travels abroad include Japan, Bahrain, Thailand (Millennium), Ibiza Soul Week,
Mallorca Modcast and other European destinations such as Belgium , France , Italy & Luxembourg .
