🍁 🎤 Our wonderfully lively jam night, The Mood Jam aims to be a platform and safe space for musicians in London to grow and express themselves in a carefully curated sonic environment. 🎤 🍁
Blending traditional folk storytelling with poetry, electronic soundscapes, and world rhythms, NYSZA creates an eclectic brand of jazz-informed urban-world-fusion that exists in the liminality of genre. Drawing inspiration from artists like Kae Tempest, Nitin Sawhney, and Hindi Zahra, she writes and performs in Garhwali, Hindi, Urdu, and English, seamlessly weaving together her experiences as a nomadic Queer South Asian artist into an earnest retelling of our collective stories.
