Anti Valentines Ball: The Dead Reds, Sleaze, John Fairhurst, Sacha Dieu
February 14 @ 7:00 pm - February 15 @ 2:00 am

“The Dead Reds bring the blues kicking and screaming into the modern age. With gritty vocals, filthy fuzz riffs and swampy grooves, this UK outfit channels the spirit of Howling Wolf and turns it up to 11. Their sound is soulful yet aggressive – slide guitar meets distortion, harmonica wails over thunderous drums and every song sound like it was born in a dive bar and raised in a storm. The Dead Reds don’t play the blues – they weaponise it. Expect heavy, groove driven and something that feels like a whiskey-fuelled bar fight in slow motion.” (Freak Valley Festival)
The band have extensively performed across the UK supporting bands such as Alabama 3, My Baby and Cam Cole and heavily toured the festival circuit playing Glastonbury Festival, Beautiful Days, Secret Garden Party and many more. 2025 has seen their first stint into Europe where they will be touring in 2026 alongside a UK tour in the Spring.
They have released a few singles over the last year and will be releasing their debut album with this current line up in Summer 2026.
Freshly added to the lineup, Sleaze are a must-see band, with the vibrancy of an energetic and sophisticated Nick Cave and Iggy Pop love child. Be sure to check out their new track “Sleaze Pleaze”
Drawn from the South London nightworld milieu, and emerging from the same unruly scene that gave us Fat White Family, Warmduscher and Fat Dog, SLEAZE are fronted by Dave Ashby – a Penge born artist, son of a cab driver and bingo caller. Alongside Ashby at the front, the band are filmmaker Laurie Yule on guitar, Bede Trillo on bass, Percy Mackay on drums, and Al Grumble on synths.
Drawing deeply from blues, rock, folk and world music, with a penchant for slide guitar and a distinctive deep growling voice, the songs and virtuoso guitar playing of John Fairhurst, delivered in pure raconteur style, narrate all the wild first hand experiences of a life on the road.
After a 5 year hiatus, John powered back onto the scene in 2024, playing in 11 countries across Europe over the summer at numerous festivals, venues and theatres. He is overjoyed to be back doing what he does best.
Spinning into the early hours is DJ Sacha Dieu, celebrated for genre-defying sets that leap through the best genres in party music!
