Pamela Fom & Trio de Trio de Forró

Pamela Fom is a singer songwriter, guitar player, percussionist and dance to music instructor from Rio de Janeiro. Samba de matuto, baião, xote, rastapé, xaxado, ijexá and frevo is in the repertoire of her Trio de Forró with Pamela on vocal and triangle, Roberto Simonatto on piano accordion and Alfredo Alves on zabumba and backing vocals. She released her first album Com a Chuva, Com o Sol, composed and writen by her, in 2015. Since then a variety of singles were released, the last one in 2024, Ao Que Veio, an afro samba with jazz influences, produced by Jansem Santana.

A diversity of brazilian rhythms is a strong feature of Pamela’s music, a soft voice that suddenly becomes very energic brings an interesting dynamic to the atmosphere. Her performances are known for having an active dancefloor. In 2021 her song Eu vou pro Rio was chosen to be in the album Rios de Janeiro sponsored by the Brazilian government law Aldir Blanc. In 2015 she won the Got Talent Portugal in UK and was finalist of the Rádio Mec Music Festival of Rio with her Samba Choro Deixa eu chorar, ‘Let Me Cry’. It all started in 2007 when Pamela moved to Ibiza and started playing the guitar and singing some Bossa novas in night clubs. In love with Forró and moving to Lisbon she got everyone dancing forró and it became her favourite music genres to explore. In Barcelona, Pamela played in the streets and in the undergrounds with the Drumming Group Ketubara. Based in London and spreading forró to the world, her song Amantes da Lua, feat Zeu Azevedo, is in some playlists of forró festivals since 2023. Pamela Fom has being performing at Pizza Express, Dorchester Hotel, Amazonico, Inca, Juju’s Bar and Stage, Hux Hotel, in and outside London, with musicians as Cassio Matheus, Betto Brasil, Anax Caracol, Cainã Araújo, Bella Raiane, Coisa de Zé, Anselmo Netto, Alvaro Alves, Kita Steuer, Marcos Santana, Marcio Pereira e Thaise Braga.

Roberto comes from São Paulo – Brazil and is based in London, has studied classical piano for 5 years and became a self taught instrumentalist, have played in various bands and supporting artists in Brazil and UK, have completed a Local Music Tutor Programme by the council of Newham and achieved Music Theory Level 5 by ABRSM, he is a music teacher, wedding parties and events pianist, guitarist and accordionist.

Alfredo Alves @alfredodj_
Alfredo Alves is from Campina Grande-Paraiba, Brazil, where the biggest São João party of the world happens. He begins to play the Zabumba instructed by his uncle ‘Nenem’ who taught him the first rhythms. At 11 he started in the marching bands and at age of 15 Alfredo were performing with big bands in his city. A mainly self-taught percussionist, he mastered instruments as Congas, repique, snare drum, fifth drum, cajon, triangle and drum kit. Based in London, Alfredo also sings and plays drums in the brazilian church Capelania Brasileira em Londres.
